Emmanuel Hospice caregivers work closely as a team to deliver the best, most coordinated care possible. Imagine having a team of skilled clinicians who have regular meetings and frequent chats about how best to serve your loved one. That's hospice!
Our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and their skill and compassion are one of the things that sets us apart. We are grateful for their dedication, and we celebrate them especially this National Care at Home Month. Please join us in thanking them!
In our November article, Nurse Case Manager Brittany talks about her role, saying, "It is very special to be allowed into that sacred space with patients and their loved ones, to support them through such a pivotal portion of their life.”
Every year around Veterans Day, the staff of Emmanuel Hospice mobilizes our Virtual Reality headsets to honor veterans across the community.
Through the Honor Everywhere app, veterans and their family members can virtually view the war memorials erected in their honor in Washington, D.C., in an immersive experience, right where they are. A member of our staff then presents them with a star from a retired American flag and thanks them for their service.
It was an honor for us to do this for the residents of The Oaks at Byron Center, amongst many other senior communities in West Michigan. Your service is not forgotten.
On Veterans Day, we salute the brave men and women who served our country. We are proud to support our veterans and their families with compassionate care. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. 🕊️
"Christine loved having people over...and having the gift of hospice meant she was surrounded by all the energy, and the laughter, and the memories."
For National Care at Home Month, we’re sharing stories of patients and their loved ones receiving the care they need and deserve in the comfort of their own home.
Here is Tim speaking to his family's experience with Emmanuel Hospice, when we were honored to care for his wife, Christine.
At Emmanuel Hospice, we honor the dedicated nurses, social workers, aides, spiritual caregivers, complementary therapists, volunteers, and countless others who bring compassionate care into the homes of those we serve.
Care at home is more than a service - it's a calling. It's about meeting people where they are, both physically and emotionally, and walking with them through some of life’s most sacred moments. Whether it’s pain management, emotional support, or simply holding a hand, our team ensures that care is personal, dignified, and centered on what matters most to each individual and their family.
This month, we recognize and celebrate everyone across the country who provides care at home, and we thank our Emmanuel Hospice team for their unwavering commitment to comfort, peace, and presence.
The students have been learning about Respect Life Month throughout October, and it was a wonderful opportunity to share how compassion, dignity, and love guide our care for others at every stage of life.
