As a Music Therapist at Emmanuel Hospice, you will experience a rewarding work life while contributing to our team in a full-time, salaried (exempt) position.

Responsibilities

    • Assess hospice patients for appropriateness of Music Therapy services
    • Provide Music Therapy to a diverse population of hospice patients and their families
    • Provide accurate and appropriate documentation of patient services as provided for in the Emmanuel Hospice policies and submit in a timely manner
    • Work as an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team focusing on holistic patient care

 
Qualifications

    •  Bachelors degree or equivalent in Music Therapy required. Masters degree preferred
    •  Licensed to practice as a Music Therapist – Board Certified (MT-BC) in the State of Michigan.
    •  2 years of Music Therapy experience required. Experience with older adults and/or end-of-life care preferred
    •  Exemplify understanding of holistic approaches to care and proficient Music Therapy skills
    •  Multi-task and maintain focus in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
    •  Proficient in use of electronic record keeping with the desire to learn and grow within their role
    •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
